Further to recent developments and in line with our commitment to transparency, we would like to provide an update on current market conditions and our position.
The Middle East plays a critical role in the production and export of petrochemical feedstocks. The escalation of the conflict has severely disrupted the flow of these materials - particularly through the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route for petrochemical products. These disruptions have tightened global supply and have seen raw material prices rise significantly.
Beyond raw materials, the conflict has also led to increased energy prices, freight costs, and extended lead times, all of which have contributed to higher overall production and distribution costs.
Despite our ongoing efforts to mitigate these pressures through inventory management and operational efficiencies, the scale and persistence of these global disruptions make a price adjustment unavoidable.
Once our current stock runs out, we can expect the following price increases:
Nitrile Examination Gloves – 30%
Vinyl Examination Gloves – 22%
Latex Examination Gloves – 14%
It is also important to highlight that even in the event of a sudden de-escalation or resolution of the conflict, supply chain disruption is expected to persist in the short to medium term.
Supply pipelines need to be rebuilt and inventories replenished across multiple tiers of the supply chain. This lag effect means that pricing pressure and supply constraints are likely to continue beyond the end of the conflict, even as conditions begin to improve.
In the interest of transparency, further surcharges may be introduced in addition to those outlined above in the coming months.
Our commitment remains to support our loyal customers, and our priority is to maintain supply continuity, product quality and transparent communication.
The situation will continue to be closely monitored, and proactive steps will be taken to minimise any further impacts wherever possible.
